When you were a kid, you couldn’t get to sleep
‘Cause you knew there’d be somethin’ underneath that tree
Now you’re grown up, with responsibilities
And it’s just a cold night – 13 degrees

But that kid in you is still stingin’
And those sleighbells are ringin’

There’s a Santa landing on your roof
You don’t need anymore proof
Than knowing that I’ll never leave

There are presents in our stockings
It’s better to give than to receive

I don’t care about the weather report
Nothing can stop us from buildin’ a snow fort
It’s not Christmas yet, but you know what they say
The night before is still a holiday

The biggest gift is a hug from me
